How to Create New Profile in Google Chrome in Just 3 Steps

Google chrome, which is the fastest web browser, sometimes doesn’t work properly or provides you some crashes or browse slowly due to corrupted data. Then there is only one way to solve it that to again download the chrome from the internet which takes much time. But you can simply delete your old chrome profile and can give a fresh start to your google chrome (like it works when it is newly downloaded) with the help of this article. In this article, we will learn how to create a new chrome profile. By creating a new google chrome profile, all the history and bookmarks of your chrome will be deleted. However, you can restore your bookmarks.

How to Create New Profile in Google Chrome in Just 3 Steps:-

1.) First of all, close the Google Chrome Browser.

2.) For Windows vista/Windows 7/Windows 8:- Go to: My Computer > Local Disk (C:) > Users > User name (For me it is Sony) > AppData > Local > Google > Chrome > User Data

Or

After going to My Computer, enter the below address in the address bar located in the top position:-

%LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data\

For  Windows XP:-  After going to My Computer, enter the below address in the address bar located in the top position:-

%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\

3.) Now search the folder named Default and rename it with the name Backup Default. Now open your chrome browser again. It will automatically create a new Default folder when you start using the browser. This will create your new profile in google chrome.

To restore your old bookmarks in your new chrome profile:-

Copy the Bookmarks.bak file from the Backup Default folder to your new Default folder. After copying, rename the file from Bookmarks.bak to Bookmarks. This will restore all your bookmarks from your old chrome profile to your new chrome profile but rest all of your data will not be restored from your old profile to your new profile.
